Who We Are
We help you build
what you actually need.
“We don't build for you — we build with you. Every tool BYYM creates starts with a real problem and ends with something you'll actually use.”
The Founder
The person behind
the mission.
Brayden Pickard
Founder & Developer, BYYM
“Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of the day I could build something that mattered — something that could help people, and something that would let me work alongside amazing people who push me to grow as a person and a leader.”
A background in Information Systems gave me a strong foundation — understanding how technology, data, and people intersect at scale. But it was during that time that I discovered a real passion for actually building software, not just studying it.
AI changed everything. What once required years of deep specialization became accessible in a way that let me move fast, build smart, and ship things I'm genuinely proud of. I stopped waiting for the right moment and started building.
BYYM is the result of that shift — tools born from real problems, built with intention, and designed to give people back the one thing they can never get more of: time.
The Method
Our thesis
Automation as Empathy
We believe technology should work for people, not the other way around. Automation isn't about replacing effort — it's about redirecting it. Every automated workflow is an act of respect for the user's time.
AI-First Infrastructure
We leverage cutting-edge LLMs and Python-driven systems to solve the invisible problems — the ones users didn't know they had until they were gone. Intelligence baked in, not bolted on.
Precision Meets Purpose
Borrowed from the discipline of finance: if it isn't measurable, it isn't manageable. Every BYYM product is built around clear, honest data that helps users make better decisions about where their time goes.
The Ecosystem
Two lanes. One destination.
Professional Efficiency
High-compliance tools for industry
The Law Time Tracker is built for practitioners who operate in high-stakes, high-accountability environments. Six-minute billing increments. Audit-ready records. The precision the legal industry demands, without the friction it usually requires.
Product → Law Time Tracker
Personal Intentionality
Human-centric tools for the individual
Intentional is built for the person who wants to be deliberate about where their attention goes. Not another productivity app with a hundred features nobody uses — a focused system for building workflows that actually stick.
Product → Intentional
The Common Thread
Both products are built around a single idea: Stewardship. Managing your most valuable, non-renewable resource — time — with maximum integrity.
The BYYM Standard
What we stand for
Radical Privacy
—Privacy-by-Design, not Privacy-by-Compliance.
In an era of data-harvesting, we build Privacy-by-Design into every line of code. Your data is yours. We don't sell it, we don't analyze it for ads, and we don't treat it as a product. Full stop.
Frictionless UX
—If it takes more than two clicks, it's a bug, not a feature.
Complexity is a failure of design. Every interaction in a BYYM product is audited for friction. If a user has to think about how to use the tool, the tool has failed them.
The 1% Rule
—Marginal gains compound into transformational outcomes.
We build tools that help our users get 1% better every single day. Not overnight transformations — just consistent, measurable improvement. Over a year, 1% daily compounds to 37x better.
The Culture
Building in public
BYYM is a company built in the open. The roadmap isn't a secret. The thinking isn't hidden behind a paywall. We share our process because we believe the best products are built with users, not just for them.
What gets built next isn't decided in a boardroom — it's decided by the friction points our users actually face. The closer we stay to real problems, the sharper our solutions become.
The Roadmap
We build based on fruit-ripeness: what problem is most ready to be solved, right now, with the tools available? Law Time Tracker came first. Intentional follows. Future ventures in AI-first tooling and personal finance intelligence are already taking shape.
The Collaboration
Every feature request is a conversation. Every bug report is a gift. We maintain short feedback loops with the people who use our software because that's how good software stays good.
“We don't build for users.
We build with them.”
